statement by the Prophet: Thy justice is as the mountains of God;2 and this illustrates well that one teacher only, one who alone is competent to teach doctrines so weighty, teaches on a mountain. Further, He teaches sitting down—which has reference to the dignity of the teaching office. And His disciples come unto Him that for the hearing of His words they might be the nearer even in body who were approaching moreover in soul to fulfill His precepts.
